The Houston Education Foundation will host its biggest fundraiser of the year Saturday — a trivia night — at Hiett Gymnasium.
Registration begins at 6 p.m. inside Hiett Gymnasium. The contest follows at 6:30 p.m. Teams of eight people will fill one table, and registration is $10 per person or $80 per table.
Funds generated will go to the foundation’s endowment, which has helped purchase a sound system for the Houston High School gymnasium, desks and chairs for a middle school classroom and choir risers.
In order to have enough tables set up before the event, teams are encouraged to call HEF board members Rita Ruckert at 417-967-3434 or Dan Adey at 417-967-3455 in advance.
The HEF will have all types of trivia topics for the teams. They will also sell trivia mulligans to raise funds at the event. Cash prizes, a 50/50 raffle and door prizes will be part of the evening’s festivities.
The Houston High School choir will sell beverages, snack foods and baked items at the event.
