D & L Florist in Houston is sponsoring “Good Neighbor Day” to spread some cheer in the community, says business owner Lesa Davis.

The business will give away 3,000 roses beginning at 7:30 a.m. today, Sept. 25 until they are gone.

The project works this way: Pick up a dozen roses, distribute them and keep one for yourself.

Pick up locations include Wilson Chiropractic, Summersville; Freedom Financial, Licking; and D & L Florist & Gifts LLC, Houston. Several other local businesses and individuals helped to sponsor the event.
