Ramona Marie Sponsler, 87, of Marshfield, Missouri, was born March 29, 1937 in Cabool, Missouri to Lee and Pansy (Brown) Kirkman. She departed this life Aug. 30, 2024, in Jacob’s House, Willard, Missouri.
She married Dale Sponsler June 30, 1955. They graduated together from Drury College in May 1984.
Mona had worked as a real estate agent and church secretary. She was a member of the Marshfield Christian Church, Show Me Club, Audubon Society and active with the Marshfield Senior Center.
She loved to travel. She and Dale had a cabin at the lake where they enjoyed boating and skiing. Mona loved to shop and she loved new technology.
Mona was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale Sponsler; her daughter Robin Hays; son-in-law Mike Hays and special friend Cecil Ragsdale.
She is survived by one daughter, Raven Reed (Brad), Springfield, Missouri; one brother, Dan Kirkman, Springfield; and two grandsons, Josh Reed, Omaha, Nebraska, and Jay Reed, Springfield.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Fraker Funeral Home in Marshfield. Interment followed in the Marshfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Marshfield Christian Church and left in care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
