During the annual Fill the Boot fundraising campaign in 2024, the Houston Fire Department raised a total of $12,693.05 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
HFD personnel collected more than $5,000 from motorists on U.S. 63 on Memorial Day weekend and more than $7,000 on Labor Day weekend.
Last year, the HFD was the leading fundraiser for MDA among all similarly-sized departments in Missouri, and this year’s total far surpasses last year’s.
