Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings Aug. 28 and 29.
Members:
- Commissioner Scott Long attended the CCAM Summer Board meeting in Mountain Grove.
- Created and emailed a letter of authenticity for Burdine Township to provide to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
- Reviewed and acknowledged the hiring of Tyson Troutman as a full-time employee in the collector/treasurer’s office.
- Discussed the Poor Farm Cemetery with Public Administrator Tina Garrett.
In other business, commissioners heard from:
- Jeff Beierman concerning Senate Bills 190 and 756.
- David Scantlin with updates on FEMA projects.
- George Sholtz concerning FEMA and SB 756.
- A concerned citizen about issues with a road near Arthur and Lundy roads.
