Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings Sept. 11 and 12.
Members:
- Reviewed and signed a progress invoice for Camp Road Bridge.
- Reviewed the need for Cable America internet service at the Administration Building.
- Contacted Dewayne Ottmeyer, Twin Cities engineer, concerning an access road to a new wastewater system.
- Acknowledged the resignation of Mike Baker as a full-time jailer effective Sept. 9.
- Acknowledged that the sheriff’s department is sending a recruit to a law enforcement academy program.
In other business, commissioners heard from:
- Citizens inquiring about Senate Bill 756.
- David Scantlin with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) updates.
- Rocky Dailing, Upton Township, on situations in the township.
