Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings Sept. 11 and 12.

Members:

  • Reviewed and signed a progress invoice for Camp Road Bridge.
  • Reviewed the need for Cable America internet service at the Administration Building.
  • Contacted Dewayne Ottmeyer, Twin Cities engineer, concerning an access road to a new wastewater system.
  • Acknowledged the resignation of Mike Baker as a full-time jailer effective Sept. 9.
  • Acknowledged that the sheriff’s department is sending a recruit to a law enforcement academy program.

In other business, commissioners heard from:

  • Citizens inquiring about Senate Bill 756.
  • David Scantlin with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) updates.
  • Rocky Dailing, Upton Township, on situations in the township.
