Texas County’s unemployment rate rose in July from the previous month, the Missouri Department of Economic Development reported.
In July, the rate was 5.9%. That is up seven-tenths from June.
According to the department, the county’s total labor force was 8,708 and employed was 8,192. (Total unemployed – 516)
Other counties and their unemployment rates: Dent (5.4), Douglas (5.1), Howell (6.2), Laclede (6), Phelps (5.1), Pulaski (6.2), Shannon (5.7) and Wright (6.3).
