The National Weather Service said it has altered it predicted forecast for Wednesday and Independence Day.
The main charges are:
•Increased to slight risk of severe storms on Wednesday.
•Slight risk of severe storms on Thursday, July 4, for much of the area.
The worst of the heat will remain in western Missouri Tuesday until moving into south-central Missouri on Wednesday and Tuesday.
