Funeral services are set for a former state representative from Cabool who served eight years in the Missouri House.

R.B. Grisham, 71, passed away April 26, 2024, in Arlington, Texas.

Mr. Grisham served eight years in the Missouri House (elected in 1980-1986) before making a run for the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor in 1988. At age 27, he was the youngest member of the Missouri House serving when he first arrived in Jefferson City.

He won the statewide race primary, but lost in the November General Election. Another Cabool resident, James Montgomery, succeeded him in the Missouri House.

Mr. Grisham moved to Texas, where he became the president and CEO of an automobile association in Arlington, Texas. In 2005, he successfully underwent a heart transplant.

Services for Mr. Grisham are 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Cabool Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Scottish Rite for Children.
