Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13, were met with a packed house at the Melba Theatre in downtown Houston.
The STARS Foundation’s production of the broadway hit, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, came in with a splash! With over 40 cast members, the stage lit up with breathtaking sets, dazzling costumes and amazing performances, including the classic Disney songs that everyone has come to love.
Starring in the title role as Ariel was Bella Brown with astounding vocals.
The play also starred Elijah Adams as Eric; Abigail Sundahl as Sebastian; John Bailey as Triton; Karabelle Fuqua as Flounder; Samuel Antle as Scuttle; and giving a magnificent performance as the evil sea witch, Ursula, was Mary Colbert.
The Little Mermaid was originally planned to be performed at the Civic Center in West Plains, but due to a scheduling conflict, it has been held over for another week at the Melba Theatre.
Performances are being held this Friday and Saturday nights, April 19 and 20, at 7 p.m. A matinee performance will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are on sale at the box office or can be reserved at 417-217-9430.
