The Texas County Library will host Eclipse Watch 2024 events at each of the four library branches (Houston, Cabool, Licking, and Summersville) on Monday, April 8.

This will be a monumental occasion for many people, for the next total eclipse to be seen in North America will not take place until 2044.

The library staff is working to make this a memorable time for all visiting the library on this day and have eclipse activities and crafts planned. At 1:30, eclipse glasses, Sun Chips, and Moon Pies will be available on a first-come basis as supplies are limited.

The total eclipse will go from 1:53-2:02 p.m., but a partial eclipse will begin about an hour before and end an hour after that time. We hope you and your family can come to one of our Texas County Library branches to share this unforgettable time with your local library!
