Texas County’s unemployment rate rose in January 2024 from the previous month, the Missouri Department of Economic Development reported.
In January, the rate was four and seven-tenths percent. That is up one and one-tenth percent from December 2023.
According to the department, the county’s total labor force was 9,161 and employed was 8,733. (Total unemployed – 428)
Other counties and their unemployment rates: Dent (4.3), Douglas (3.7), Howell (4.3), Laclede (4.2), Phelps (3.9), Pulaski (4.5), Shannon (5.9) and Wright (4.1).
