Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings March 13-14.

Members:

  • Reviewed and approved a liquor license for Mustafa Alsadi dba Raymondville Quick Stop, LLC.
  • Approved Boiling Springs Subdivision Roadways and Raftville Lane as private road names.

In other business, commissioners heard from:

  • Bill Bridges, interim TCMH CEO, stopped by to check on a letter that TCMH requested the Commission put on county letterhead. The county’s attorney advised the commission against doing it. The open board member position was also discussed.
  • A citizen requesting a letter of support for a fish processing plant.
  • Virginia Burcham, PWSD #1, inquiring about updates on the funding for the new water well.
  • Jeff Malam, Pierce Township, delivered paperwork.
  • George Sholtz with questions on Camp Road Bridge, the hospital board member position, MDC and HB 1763.
  • Judge Hickle about office space at the justice center.
