Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings Feb. 21, 22, 28, 29 and March 1.
Members:
- Signed and approved a Date Township contract.
- Appointed Michelle Eilenstine, clerk; and Timothy Michel, treasurer; to the Clinton Township board.
- Reviewed and acknowledged a resignation letter from Crystal Huey, effective March 8.
- Reviewed and acknowledged the hiring of Samantha Beckerdite as a full-time employee effective Feb. 20.
- Attended a mandatory 20 hours of County Commissioners Association of Missouri (CCAM) training.
In other business, commissioners heard from:
- Madeline Miller concerning a planning commission meeting.
- Mike and Renee Knapp concerning issues in Burdine Township.
- Grant Wilson, U.S. Rep. Jason Smith’s office, to discuss several issues within the county.
- Amanda Hamilton, Cass Township, about an insurance policy. The commission suggested she contact Madeline Miller, a former township board member.
