The Raymondville Fire Department was called at about 2:30 p.m. Monday after a grass fire was reported near Highway 137 and McColgin Road.
According to an early report, it stretched 50 feet along a ditch line and moved into a field. It was quickly extinguished.
Due to dry conditions, the public is encouraged not to burn.
