A year-end concert at the Houston School District will highlight a year of accomplishments in the music department and recognize the driving force behind the program, retiring director Beth Williamson. The program — “As Long As I Have Music” — is 7 p.m. Friday at Hiett Gymnasium and includes a wide variety of music.

Three choirs — high school, middle school women’s and seventh and eighth — will perform competition pieces. All three earned top ratings in recent competition. Popular dance moves through the decades also will be featured.
