A Summersville woman was injured Wednesday, Jan. 30, in an accident west of her hometown, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. the mishap was at Highways 17 and 137.

A Summersville woman was injured Wednesday night when her vehicle ran through a stop sign, struck a utility pole and a fence at Yukon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

Tpr. Jacob Sellars said the southbound 2012 Chevrolet Malibu was driven by Sherry L. Rosenbum, 63, who was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital after apparently suffering some medical event. 

Rosenbum had moderate injuries and had been wearing a seat belt. 

The accident dropped electrical lines and sparked an outage. Intercounty Electric Cooperative was called to make repairs. 

Assisting at the scene was Tpr. Cathryn Davis, Cpl. Terry Nelson and the Texas County Sheriff’s Department. The Raymondville Fire Department was also called.
