A wanted Licking man was injured in a Saturday, Jan. 26, accident in Dent County and arrested. 

A Licking man was injured Saturday night in a crash on Highway 19 about eight miles south of Salem, the Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

Austin J. Brown, 23, of Licking, was one of four people in a 2000 Dakota Sport that lost control on a partially covered roadway, began skidding and traveled off the right side and struck a tree. 

Brown was taken by private vehicle to Salem Memorial District Hospital with minor injures. He was arrested on a Texas County misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on a non-moving traffic violation and a Licking warrant for dangerous drugs possession of drug paraphernalia. He is held in the Dent County Jail. 

The driver, Tiffany May, 24, of Salem, had minor injuries and went to the Salem hospital. Two passengers, Justin L. Geistlinger, 33, and Lindsey May, 28, both of Salem, were flown to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis with moderate injuries. Linsey May was the driver.

None was wearing a seat belt, a trooper said.
