As the annual Share Your Christmas campaign winds down, the drive was projecting Monday to serve 211 children in 84 families.
It’s the 32nd year for the annual event that provides a brighter holiday season for those whose Christmas would be lacking. Each year, individuals, churches, businesses and service organizations join to adopt children whose cases are outlined in the newspaper.
Share Your Christmas operates from the Houston Lions Club den basement on North U.S. 63. The coordinator is Pat Miller, who can be reached at 417-217-1318. Monetary donations can be mailed to Share Your Christmas, P.O. Box 170, Houston, Mo. 65483.
Among those helping in the last week are: Evans Funeral Home and staff, The Bank of Houston employees, Lend Nation, Northside Baptist Church, Route 63 Car Club, Church of Christ (Temple Lot), Lions Club members and Blue Heaven Club.
