An early Sunday morning fire destroyed a Houston man’s home.
Henry Power, who resides on Able Road, was able to escape the structure with only a pair of jeans and boots he was wearing. Firemen were unable to save it.
A veteran, Power lived near Simmons Baptist Camp. A granddaughter, Reanna Glover, said the American Red Cross met with him on Labor Day to offer help.
