Josh Kane fills out his ballot Tuesday morning at the Houston Storm Shelter.

Voters traveled to polls Tuesday to cast votes in two contested races in the county. 

Additionally, a statewide proposition — Right-To-Work — was on the ballot. A “no” vote was not to adopt the measure approved in the Missouri General Assembly. 

Polls closed at 7 p.m. Absentee ballots will be the first to post this evening

The winner of the presiding commissioner race will face Rick Dixon, a Democrat, in the fall. The winner in the county clerk’s race will serve a four-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2019. There is no Democrat running.
