The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:
•A 57-year-old woman reported on June 26 that a bicycle had been stolen from her Phelps Street residence.
On the same day, an employee from the Corner Express Shell station reported that a bike was left at the store and an officer should come pick it up. The bicycle was determined to be the one that was swiped.
Police requested viewing store surveillance video.
•A 23-year-old man reported on July 2 that a Springfield Armory .45 caliber pistol had been swiped from his Grand Avenue apartment. Investigation continues.
•James E. Dodd, 48, of 8164 Morton Road, Lot 14 at Houston, was arrested July 2 for having active Texas County warrants for failure to appear on charges of driving while revoked and speeding.
An officer made the arrest at a private probation office in Houston after being advised that he was there. Dodd was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $110,000 bond.
•A 36-year-old woman reported on July 5 that a bicycle, a gas can and a metal foot trap had been stolen from her Spruce Street residence. Investigation continues.
•Houston police on July 4 investigated a wreck involving an officer’s patrol vehicle. The incident took place on U.S. 63 near the Corner Express Shell station. Officer Greg Ryan was driving.
•Tyson R. Warner, 36, of 10834 Highway 17 at Success, was ticketed on July 7 for failure to register a motor vehicle (displaying the plates of another).
•Trenton T. Lybyer, 18, of 12751 German Road at Cabool, was cited on July 7 for operating a motor vehicle with expired license plates.
•Taylor N. Sullins, 22, of 15612 Highway UU at Solo, was ticketed on July 7 for failure to register a motor vehicle and no proof of insurance.
•Matthew J. Ramsey, 31, of 16490 Hog Creek Road at Houston, was issued a citation for public peace disturbance after an incident July 3 at Miller’s Grill.
•Kevin E. Aguirre, 40, of 740 Augusta St. in Houston, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway after a traffic stop at Highway 17 and Bryan Street at about 1:30 a.m. July 1.
An officer made the stop after observing a silver Chevrolet Malibu cross the centerline twice. After making contact with the driver, the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted. Aguirre was taken to the Texas County Jail for a 6-hour hold period.
