The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•A deputy responded to a call from a 46-year-old Cabool woman who reported that eight bags of trash, a table top and a mattress and box springs had been dumped on her King Road property.
The officer photographed the trash and found some mail bearing the name of a 23-year-old Licking woman. Investigation continues.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 11:50 p.m. June 23 regarding a report of a burglary in progress at a Red Springs Road residence at Mountain Grove.
The officer made contact with a 76-year-old man who lives there with his wife. The man said another man had broken out a window and was standing in the living room. His wife told the officer her husband has dementia and other health issues.
The officer and the man searched the residence but no suspect was found and no broken window was observed.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 8:35 p.m. June 23 regarding a report of the sound of an explosion on High Town Road west of Houston. The officer was unable to locate any activity in the area and didn’t observe any sign of an explosion.
