Summersville emergency personnel responded Saturday afternoon to a crash.

A 9-year-old boy was injured Friday in an accident near Dog’s Bluff west of Houston.

Tpr. Jacob Sellars said a northbound 2017 Toyota Tacoma driven by Nathaniel G. Bratt, 36, of Los Alamos, N.M., was signaling to make a turn and change lanes to the shoulder when a northbound 2005 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Ashley N. Aurthur, 33, of Cabool, struck it in the rear.

A passenger in the Bratt vehicle, Ty G. Bratt, 9 had minor injuries and was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital.

Assisting at the scene was Cpl. Terry Nelson.

Sellars said the Bratts were wearing seat belts; Aurthur was not. Both vehicles had extensive damage.

A Solo woman was injured Thursday when her vehicle failed to negotiate a curve on Highway UU, overcorrected and struck a fence and a tree.

Tpr. Jacob Sellars said the driver of the westbound 2005 Chrysler Town and Country was Irene M. Frydryh, 28. She was taken by private vehicle to Texas County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Frydryh was wearing a seat belt, Sellars said.
