The Houston Police Department handled several investigations in the last week.

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Brandon J. Brim, 36, of 921 Ozark St. in Houston, was issued a citation for failure to yield after a two-vehicle accident at Bryan Street and Ozark Street at about 11:05 a.m. April 3.

•Margaret L. King, 48, of Theodosia, was issued a citation for stealing on March 30 after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart.

While on the way to the Texas County Jail, an officer was advised that King had seven active warrants for writing bad checks – three from Wright County, two from Douglas County and two from Texas County. She was jailed after being unable to post bond for all the warrants.

•Megan E. Corman, 30, of 17590 Freedom Road at Willow Springs, was issued citations for driving with a suspended license, operating a vehicle with no operable headlamp, failure to register a motor vehicle and no insurance after a traffic stop on First Street at about 10:30 p.m. April 2.

•Oliver C. Beavers, 74, of 608 S. Hamrick Ave. in Houston, was cited for failure to register a motor vehicle on April 3.

•Amie J. Stokes, 40, of 115 S. Oak Crest Drive. in Houston, was arrested April 7 for having an active Texas County warrant for stealing and fraudulent use of a credit device.

An officer who was aware of the warrant made the arrest at about 9:20 a.m. after observing Stokes sitting in a green truck on the Hardee’s parking lot. She was taken to the Texas County Jail, where she was unable to post $75,000 bond.

•Joshua J. Hebblethaite, 31, of 249 Kelly Road at Raymondville, Larissa L. Mainer, 20, of 670 Faye St. in Houston, and John D. Nutt, 46, of 8665 Possum Trot Drive at Raymondville, were each issued citations after an incident just after midnight March 25 at the Office Bar in downtown Houston.

An officer was dispatched to the bar regarding a fight in progress. Upon arrival, the officer observed Hebblethwaite and Nutt fighting just inside the front door of the bar.

After an investigation, Hebblethwaite, Nutt and Mainer were each cited for peace disturbance by fighting and Mainer was also cited for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption. Due to her level of intoxication, Mainer was taken to jail for a 12-hour hold period, police said.
