A fire — described this morning as 20-30 acres — sent area fire departments to south of Lynchburg.
The U.S. Forest Service also deployed two bulldozers. A portion of the blaze — on Oder Drive south of McGuire Road — is on federal land.
The National Weather Service says there is a high risk of fire today.
