Texas County Memorial Hospital is offering a free diabetes class to the public this month.
Curriculum for the “Diabetes Academy” is 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, inside the Jayson Gentry Community Safe Room on the hospital campus. A certified diabetes educator from Novo Nordisk will teach the class, which is open to the public.
The class includes basic diabetes information and terminology. Tips for eating healthy and staying active as a diabetic will be provided.
Basic information about insulin, GLP-1 therapy and use of insulin pumps will be provided.
