HHS BAND PLACES SECOND AT COMPETITION
GRASSLANDS TEAM FINISHES FOURTH, ADVANCES
The HHS FFA grasslands team placed fourth in the district to advance to state. Team members are Shelby Vasseur, Vanessa Kirkwood, Nick Rippinger and Daniel Foster.
SCHOOL NEWS
The Houston High School band placed second in its division Saturday at a marching festival competition in Branson. Pictured with the trophy are Macy Smith, guard captain, and Nevada Leighty, drum major. The band will compete Saturday in the SBC Marching Classic in Ashland and Oct. 28 the Francis Howell Viking Invitational in St. Charles.
