Work started this week on a new addition to Texas County Memorial Hospital which will add 24 more beds, bringing the total to 58. The low bid of $117,950 was submitted by S & E Construction of Co. of Mansfield. Mrs. Nola Day, administrator, said the hospital had been operating at 99 percent of capacity, illustrating the need for more beds.
