A Houston man charged in the brutal killing of a teenager near Cabool in September will stand trial in Crawford County, a judge ruled Thursday.
Andrew Vrba, 18, is charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and abandonment of a corpse of Joseph M. Steinfeld, who went by “Ally” and planned to transition to a female, according to family members.
Vrba is held without bond in the Texas County Jail.
He is to appear Dec. 5 in Crawford County Circuit Court for a review of the case before Judge Sidney T. Pearson III, who has been assigned the case.
