The Texas County 4-H Shooting Sports shotgun program had a record number of shooters this year at 22. Fourteen of them participated in the state 4-H trap competition Aug. 26 in Linn Creek and seven shot in the state skeet competition Aug. 27 in Hazelwood.
Texas County shooters’ results:
Individual
• Travis Hutson: Fifth place, Senior Trap Doubles.
• Jacob Berry: First place, Intermediate Trap Singles
• Pierce Ford: First place, Intermediate Skeet doubles; second place, Intermediate Trap Doubles; second place, Intermediate Skeet Singles.
• Brighton Hutson: Third place, Intermediate Skeet singles; fourth place, Intermediate Skeet Doubles
Team
• Intermediate Trap Singles, first place, (Jacob Berry, Pierce Ford, Brighton Hutson, Case Jones and Tristan Weaver).
