Houston High School students, from left, Lucas Bailey, Jaekan Moss and Adryanna Kim, were named to the South Central District Honor Choir after auditioning Sept. 18 in Springfield. More than 200 students auditioned for the choir of about 200. Four other HHS students –– Emily Scott, Parker Otte, Tyler Gross and Bailey Moore –– auditioned but were not selected. Four additional students –– Lance Smith, Vanessa Kirkwood, Phornoa Thomas and Summer Floyd –– auditioned but were not selected for the 11-12 choir.
