The annual Roby Fair — featuring a parade and other activities — is Saturday.
The day kicks off with a breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Citizens Center. The parade begins at 9 a.m. with lineup between Walt’s and a cafe at Highways 17 and 32.
Here is the remaining schedule:
• 10 a.m. – Gospel music by the Niebruegge family.
• 10:30 a.m. — Turtle races.
• 11 a.m. — The contemporary Christian band One.
• 11:30 a.m. — Tug of war contest (adult and children’s divisions).
• 12:30 p.m. — Watermelon eating contest.
• 1 p.m. — Open karaoke.
• 2 p.m. — Karaoke contest.
• 3 – 5 p.m. — Miles from Nowhere.
• 4 p.m. — Greased pig contest.
• 5 p.m. — Dinner of pulled pork or smoked chicken leg quarters.
• 5:30 p.m. — Kevin Lee and Hired Guns with special guests, Brandi Couch, KC Lee and Steve Ritz.
Registration for the events must be 15 minutes prior to start.
