The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

• An officer responded to the Texas County Food Pantry on East Highway 17 at about 8:20 a.m. Sept. 21 regarding a report of theft.

The officer met with food pantry director Katie Mutzebaugh, who showed the officer surveillance video of two males taking a couch and an ottoman from the facility’s loading dock at about 6:50 p.m. the previous night. Video showed that the suspects were using a red Chevrolet extended cab pickup.

The officer searched for the vehicle and located it at a Sugar Maple Drive residence. Contact was made with occupants of the residence, and after an investigation a 38-yearold man and 16-year-old boy were identified as suspects.

As a result, John S.W. Richards, 38, of 113 Sugar Maple Drive in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 and a report about the boy was sent to the county juvenile office.

The officer noted in a report that the pantry’s dock is equipped with signs say ing items cannot be removed from it and that video surveillance cameras are in use.

• Coltin J. Andrews, 17, of 17219 Primrose Drive in Houston, was arrested Sept. 6 for having an active Texas County warrant for unlawful use of a weapon and trespassing.

An officer who was aware of the warrant made the arrest after observing Andrews while on patrol on U.S. 63 at about 9:20 p.m.

He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $500,000 bond.

• Patrick L. Vaughn, 26, of 426 Fourth St. in Houston, was arrested Sept. 6 for having an active Texas County warrant for driving while intoxicated (persistent offender), endangering the welfare of a child, driving while revoked and multiple other offenses. He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $250,000 bond.

• Andrew L. O’Daniel, 27, of 3691 Morgan Road at Elk Creek, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving after a traffic stop Sept. 9 on U.S. 63.
