Practice begins Monday for the Texas County Community Singers.
Beginning its sixth season, the group will meet each Monday at 6 p.m. in the Houston High School choir room in preparation for a Christmas concert in early December.
Singers from the area are invited by the group’s leader, HHS choir director Beth Williamson, to join the ensemble of more than 30 voices.
In addition to the December concert, several of the group’s members sing with the HHS choir during its annual concert and also participate in the Thanksgiving program hosted by the Houston Ministerial Alliance.
The Community Singers have in the past made a scholarship available to graduating vocal students. For more information, call 417-967-2638.
