A Houston man was seriously injured and faces multiple charges following a single-vehicle wreck Sunday evening on Morton Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Isom C. Roberts, 27, was traveling northbound five miles north of Houston when the 1996 Chevrolet 1500 he was driving went off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. Isom, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
Isom was charged with first-degree felony tampering with a motor vehicle, first-degree property damage, felony leaving the scene of an accident (property damage exceeding $1,000), driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, driving while suspended – second or subsequent offense and no seat belt. He was released for medical treatment.
The truck was totaled.
