A Houston High School graduate is one of six Missouri State University-West Plains students spending the fall semester studying in China.
Weston Phipps and his classmates are studying at Liaoning Normal University (LNU) in Dalian, China, as part of the China Semester Study Away Program. They will also work as interns in the campus’ offices and teach Chinese students English.
Through their experience, Phipps and the MSU-WP students will learn more about the Chinese culture, history and language and develop an increased awareness of the growing business relationship with the U.S.
The group left the United States on Aug. 16 and will return Dec. 16.
