Emergency personnel responded Monday afternoon, July 31, to a crash north of Houston.

One person was injured Monday afternoon in a crash north of Houston, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. Terry Nelson said a southbound 2013 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Taryn L. Sullins, 21, was stopped on U.S. 63 when a 2003 Chrysler Sebring operated by Caleb B. Rutledge, 20, struck it in the rear.

The mishap occurred near Antioch Drive and U.S. 63 about five miles south of Licking. Both vehicles were totaled, said Nelson. Each driver was wearing a seat belt.

Rutledge said he would seek his own medical treatment.

Assisting at the scene were Tpr. Travis Brown and the Licking Fire Department.
