KEITH FOLLIN

Keith Follin has resigned as chief of the Roby Volunteer Fire Department after about seven years in the position.

Follin made the announcement last week on social media.

“I never expected to be chief this long, so I am relieved,” he said. “I have enjoyed the challenges of the position.

Follin’s replacement is Charles Fraley, who will serve in an interim capacity until a permanent replacement takes over. Follin’s wife, Barb, also resigned from the Roby FD after serving as its medical and safety officer for about five years.

“I hope I have served the community well,” Follin said.

Follin is also Texas County emergency management director and has submitted a resignation letter to the county commission with an end date of Sept. 15.
