A single-vehicle crash Monday north of Houston resulted in entrapment and injured three teenagers around 4:30 p.m. Monday, authorities said.
Tpr. Jacob Sellars said a southbound 1999 Oldsmobile Alero ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and landed on its top about seven miles north of Houston on U.S. 63.
The driver, Lauren J. Due, 16, Houston, and two passengers, Kali R. Aguirre, 15, Raymondville, and Hunter D. Hackett, 16, of Houston, were transported to Texas County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Everyone was wearing a seat belt except Hackett.
The Houston Rural Fire Department Rescue Squad was called to extricate some of those involved. The Licking Fire Department also was dispatched to assist.
Also on scene were two TCMH ambulances and the sheriff’s department. The vehicle was totaled.
