An Amber Alert was issued overnight for a missing teenager from Salem. She was later safely found.
Trinity Lewis, 13, was abducted sometime after 10 p.m. Tuesday from Country Road 6090 in Dent County, according to the sheriff’s office. Around 7 a.m. Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said the girl was found safe in Bunker, about 30 minutes southeast of Salem.
Authorities said Lewis told her guardian she was going to a friend’s house but did not show up there. Police said they believe Lewis was with two men, ages 30 and 50. They were last seen in a two-tone extended cab truck.
The alert was issued at 1:54 a.m. Wednesday.
Lewis’ mother said she does not know who the men are. Authorities said they have been located and are being questioned.
