The Armed Forces Day event hosted by Houston’s American Legion Post 41 that was scheduled for Saturday at the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce Fairgrounds has been postponed due to the wet and stormy weather forecast.
Post 41 spokesperson Keith Ford said the event is now set for Friday, Sept. 15, which is National POW/MIA Recognition Day.
Ford said a drawing will be held during the event for a Husqvarna 372 chainsaw being raffled off. Tickets are available at the Legion hall (next to Pizza Hut on U.S. 63) during Wednesday coffee bar hours, 9 to 11 a.m.
