Members of the Roby and Plato fire departments were called at about 11:30 a.m. Monday to a 40-acre grass fire at 9933 Highway M.
The Houston Fire Department was dispatched at about 1:15 p.m. to a large fire close to 13523 Arthur Road. Authorities said the blaze might be on Lundy Road. It turned out to be a controlled burn.
Departments from Summersville and Clear Springs were called at about 2:40 p.m. to a grass fire at Highway 17 and Evans Road at Eunice. At about 4:30 p.m., a structure was reported on fire at the address.
