TEXAS COUNTY RANGERS COOKING CLUB
The Texas County Rangers Cooking Club held its second meeting of the year on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
Membership is open to all county 4-H members, or cooking only members are welcome.
The club meets the first Wednesday of the month at the community kitchen at the Lone Star Annex. Members will be preparing international foods and also making a community project by giving their finished goods to various organizations each month.
At the last meeting, members prepared no bake cookies and provided a snack for their monthly 4-H meeting held the next day.
For November and December, members are taking goodies to the Texas County Memorial Hospital Medical Complex and Texas County Extension Office employees.
The club is also taking holiday cookie orders, and will use this as a fundraiser. Contact the Extension office at 417-967-4545 to find out how to join.
The next meeting is 3:45 – 5 p.m. Nov. 9. Accommodations can be made to supervise students who need to walk directly from school.
