A Bucyrus man is charged with DWI following an accident Sunday morning about two miles north of Houston on Highway 17.
Sgt. George Falterman of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said Scott M. Logan, 20, was driving a 2005 Hyundai Sonata when he fell asleep and traveled off the the left side of the roadway near Highways Z and 17 at about 5:50 a.m.
Logan, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The vehicle was totaled, Falterman said.
Logan also faces a citation of failing to drive on the right half of the roadway causing an accident.
