Members of the Texas County Sheriff’s Department were called on the Big Piney River on Saturday afternoon for a situation related to medical problems for someone on the stream near Cleveland Road.
Deputies were able to bring the man to a bridge, where a Texas County Memorial Hospital ambulance was waiting.
The Houston Rural Fire Department Rescue Squad was called, but was not needed.
