The Texas County office of emergency management has released preliminary information regarding damage from last week’s flooding.

Director Bennie Cook said reports show six businesses affected, totaling $188,000 in damage, and 12 homes, totaling $74,472 in damage to structures, garages and driveways.

Cook said the affected homes and businesses are located across the county.

“We are still working on the public assistance damage assessments, which includes county roads and government buildings,” he said. “So far only four townships have reported and we are over $1 million in damage to county roads.”

To report flood damage, call Cook at 417-967-0720 or email him at emd@texascountymissouri.gov.
