Business 60 at Cabool was closed for about an hour Monday morning as emergency personnel aided two persons injured in a serious crash.
The Cabool Police Department said an eastbound 1992 Oldsmobile driven by Tyler Anderson, 23, of Mountain Grove, crossed the centerline and struck a westbound 1998 Chevrolet pickup operated by Jeffrey Cole, 54, of Cabool.
Anderson was extricated from the vehicle and was flown by helicopter to Cox South. His condition was said to be “very serious.” Cole was taken by ambulance to the Springfield hospital with several broken bones.
The 6:48 a.m. accident was near Cabool Apartment Drive.
Assisting the Cabool Police Department were the Cabool Fire Department, Texas County Memorial Hospital EMS and a state trooper.
