The 23rd annual Stomp Out Hunger Walk is today beginning at the Houston Senior Citizens Center on Grand Avenue in Houston.
Registration is at 1:30 p.m.; walk begins at 2 p.m. (choose one- or three-mile route). Small children in strollers and dogs on leashes are welcome. Bottled water and snacks are furnished.
All proceeds will benefit close to 700 families who receive food from the Texas County Food Pantry and Licking United Community Help Center. Pledge envelopes may be picked up at either food pantry or from chairperson, Alice Wells, 417-967-2495.
Walkers can make their tax-deductible donations payable to Community Foundation of the Ozarks, (CFO)
