The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Michelle L. DeWolfe, 43, of 426 S. Fourth St. in Houston, was arrested Sept. 26 for having an active City of Houston warrant for allowing an animal to run at large.
An officer who knew of the warrant made the arrest at DeWolfe’s residence. She was taken to the Texas County Jail where she posted $500 bond and was released.
•Dalton C. Morgan, 24, of Fox, Ark., was arrested Sept. 20 for having an active Houston municipal warrant for stealing under $500.
An officer made the arrest after observing a man and woman walking alongside U.S. 63 near Pizza Hut at about 1:35 a.m. After contact with the two was made, a routine computer check revealed the warrant.
Morgan was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $1,000 bond.
•Sarah I. Smith, 26, of 521 Florence St. in Houston, was arrested Sept. 24 for having an active Texas County warrant for driving while intoxicated – drug intoxication, endangering the welfare of a child and no insurance. An officer who knew of the warrant made the arrest at Smith’s residence at about 6:40 p.m.
She was taken to the Texas County Jail where she was unable to post $50,000 bond.
•Jennifer L. Gagliardo, 36, of 18535 Brushy Creek Road in Houston, was issued citations for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after an incident at about 9:20 p.m. Sept. 22.
An officer was dispatched to an Oak Crest Street residence regarding a report of a possible prowler. A woman who lives there told the officer she had heard a loud banging sound in the basement.
The officer was unable to locate a prowler, but smelled marijuana inside the residence. Investigation revealed a container of pot and a smoking device under a mattress that belonged to Gagliardo, who was in the house, too. She was taken to the Texas County Jail, fingerprinted and released.
•Arids F. Morton Jr., 33, of 777 Highway 17, Apt. 9, in Houston, was issued a citation for following too closely after a two-vehicle accident on Highway 17 east at about 2:15 p.m. Sept. 23.
•Scotty D. Gately, 39, of 713 Chestnut St. in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly swiping a UPS package from a neighbor’s porch.
•Shelby D. Cremer, 17, of 16785 Tiffany Drive in Houston, was issued a citation for following too closely after a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 63 and Highway 17 at about 3:20 p.m. Sept. 17.
•A 35-year-old Houston woman came to the HPD office Sept. 14 to report a 1995 Bonanza cattle trailer valued at $2,500 had been stolen from her Millstone Road residence.
The woman told an officer the trailer belonged to another woman and had been being used to move belongings to another residence. There are no suspects.
